For the home pool:

With the introduction of the gate alarm, Safety Turtle® now provides two layers of protection for children. A Base Station in the house alarms if a child manages to open the gate, if the gate fails to latch within 11 seconds of adult entry, or if a child wearing a Turtle wristband goes in the water. Because it has an adult bypass switch, the alarm never has to be disarmed.

For the condo/resort pool:

The alarm remotely monitors self-latching or selflocking access to an unsupervised fenced pool, alerting if a gate is left unsecured. Monitoring is essential as gates fail to self-engage and are kept open by less responsible pool users.

Warnings:

• Please be aware that Safety Turtle is not suitable for use in seawater
• When using with salt chlorinated pools, the Base Station (sold separately) should be located poolside, several feet above the water. If you also require alarming in the house, you should purchase a commercial/extended range system
• The wristbands (sold separately) have a battery sealed in them and the system should be tested on a regular basis to insure it is working
• Do not buy used--there is no way for you to determine the remaining battery level and hence the remaining life of a previously used Turtle- purchase only from a reputable source
• Always watch your kids around any body of water--this is a tool to add an extra layer of protection and is not a substitute for diligent child supervision or for suitable pool barriers
• Note: You must have a base station to use the Wireless Gate Alarm-Safety Turtle Base Station is sold separately
